FARM TOURS

Farm tours at Barlow's Mill are intimate. They tell how the Lake Erie terroir supported grape growing and the Barlow family's efforts to sustain itself on a farm considered small by today's agricultural standards.  Tours encompass the vineyards and gardens, giving first hand knowledge of the smells and look of garden crops, such as basil, the visual beauty of fruit bearing trees and bushes (peaches, plums, apples, blueberries, raspberries), and native plants and wildflowers for natural habitats.

The Barlow Barn, c. 1860, was restored with a NYS Barn Restoration and Preservation grant.  Standing at the head of the carriage drive, it houses agricultural equipment and a small grape pressing room.
