WINTER CLASSES

The Winter semester of classes begins January 9, 2012. Each class runs for 10 weeks and conclude the week of March 19. There are no classes the week of February 20 during the public school recess. Family Sing for the Winter Semester will be held on March 13 from 6:45 to 7:30 pm.

Classes are "family style," a mixed age group of children, each with a mom or dad, grandmother or grandfather or other caregiver. Lively, joyful music and the informal learning support inherent to the Music Together® program allow each one to grow in music confidence.

GROWING WITH MUSIC TOGETHER

Build on your child’s enthusiasm for music and movement with real music making experiences. Sing, play instruments, dance, spin and even play ball with other families with young children in classes filled with the vitality and variety of music from the internationally-recognized Music Together® early childhood music education program. Each class is a flow of songs, chants, finger plays and instrumental jam sessions that support children’s developing tonal and rhythmic competence, all without performance expectations. Take-home materials include CDs and songbooks so that music becomes a part of daily family routines. Classes are taught by Kay Barlow, a Music Together Certified Level I Instructor who holds an American Orff-Schulwerk Assoc., Level I Certificate and Masters of Music and Bachelor of Music Education degrees.
